January 2008 (Hollywood Beach and Country Club)

New Chapter officers are installed (Pres - Rick Pryce, V.Pres - Mike Aiello, Treas - Brent Spencer, Sec - Lisa Nesi) by Bob Jackson (FSMS Pres).
Awards are given out for the Golf Tournament Contributions.
Incoming President Rick spoke regarding his vision of pushing the newer hi-tech aspects of the society in the coming year.
The Scholarship Committee has received the sample scholarship paperwork from Tallahassee and has a meeting scheduled to review and discuss it.

November 2007 (Tri-County Meeting at Signature Grand)

Scott Harris from FDOT talked about the statewide FDOT RTK network via speakerphone.  Paul Doll FDOT Dist 4 was on hand to provide on-site assistance and speak of his experiences.
The FSMS President (Bob Jackson) and Past President (Mike Whitling) spoke about the direction of the State Society and recent conferences/workshops.
Stephon Kilmon of ViaLink gave a presentation on a problem in how the administrative code is written and his experience before the board on violations charges.

October 2007 (Kavanaugh & Morrisseys)

Construction Career Days at the Davie Arena will be at the end of October.  Displays, volunteers and items for giveaway are needed.  Bob Jackson has directed that FSMS will be very active in this.
The Chapter Golf Tournament is on Oct 27 at the Palm Aire Golf Club.
January's Induction meeting will be held at the Hollywood Beach and Country Club.
The Chapter will attempt to maintain an Archives section on the website.
Committees should prepare written reports on their activities as a way of providing assistance to future committee members.

August 2007

Florida Training Services reports a decline in applications for the apprenticeship programs.
Vote to donate to the State Scholarship Endowment Fund, Scholarship Fund and PAC.
Vote to establish a Spring fishing tournament
Vote to establish local scholarships for FAU and UF Davie Campus (Extension Center)
Discussion on a Joint Meeting in November and the January Induction Ceremony.
